Spinoza Bear

The Spinoza Bear is an 18 inch, soft and cuddly talking bear that is given to children through the Foundation. Touch the red, heart-shaped button on his chest and he "speaks" or "reads" via a built-in cassette player and speaker. Spinoza comes with nine audio tapes produced by leading child psychologists and creative educators including a colorful audio version of the "Legend of Spinoza Bear", the story of Spinoza's warmth and love for all children. This gentle- speaking friend provides therapeutic and educational benefits for children coping with serious illness and disabilities. Available in English and Spanish, his tapes carry messages of self-esteem, conflict resolution, stress management, expression of feelings, and coping with grief and loss.
