Mission Statement
The Mission of the Nevada Childhood Cancer
Foundation is to work side by side with the medical community to
provide social, emotional, educational, and psychological
support services and programs to families of ALL children who
are diagnosed with a life threatening or critical illness such
as cancer, HIV/AIDS, sickle cell, hemophilia, renal disorders,
and other immunologic diseases. We provide comfort and support
while empowering and educating families.
The only thing more tragic than having a child
diagnosed with cancer or any life threatening illness is going
through it without hope. With our programs and services, a
child’s scared and dreary spirit can be revived with the joy
of possibilities - a joy no child should live without. With your
donations and support, we are able to provide hope, courage and
triumph to our children and their families.
As our community grows, so do the needs of
children and families. According to the National Cancer
Foundation, "one in every 330 children in the United States
develops cancer before the age of nineteen. Moreover, incidence
of cancer among children is increasing...cancer continues to be
the number one disease killer of children from the age of one
year through adolescence. With your support our programs will
continue and new programs can be funded.
