Since 1993, the Mission of the Nevada Childhood
Cancer Foundation has been to work side by side with the medical
community to provide social, emotional, educational, financial
and psychological support services and programs to families of
ALL children diagnosed with a life threatening or critical
illness such as cancer, HIV/AIDS, sickle cell, hemophilia, renal
disorders and other immunologic diseases.
The foundation offers over 25 programs and
services facilitated by both caring professionals and staff
members to ensure that a critically ill child and their family
members are given hope for the future and the strength and
courage to fight the daily battle against disease.
We work to fulfill the needs and the many
requests from families including assistance in supplying a
child's required medication, providing transportation for doctor
appointments, providing food and clothes to struggling families,
offering free psychological counseling to those without
insurance, and providing the opportunity for children to
continue their education while they battle disease. We take
these frightened children and their families by the hand and let
them know they won't go though this alone. We can and will
navigate the way.
As you view our photos
and read through our programs,
we hope that you will join us by "Embracing the Life of a
Child" though volunteering, participating in special
events, sending a child to camp,
or making a donation.
