Fireman Scott Dakus Races Across America…for NCCF 
Who rides over 3,000 miles, races 20 hours a day for 12 days straight, and cycles more than 250 miles each day…..It is Scott Dakus in the Race Across America beginning June 9! Scott is racing to raise money for the Nevada Childhood Cancer Foundation. What's more, 100% of the money raised by Scott through his sponsorships and donations will directly support the programs and services for critically ill children and their families. 
In 2007, along with his team-mates, Scott completed the Race Across America as part of a 4-person team. For over 25 years he has been preparing himself for the single most demanding sporting event in the world, solo Race Across America. This race is one of the most respected and longest running annual endurance events holding legendary stature the world over. It is one of the pinnacles of sporting accomplishment, globally seen as the highest rung of the endurance sports ladder for its 27 year history. 
Scott has been a fireman at the Henderson Fire Department for 15 years and married for 18 years with three teen-aged children that all share Scott’s appetite for adventure.
